Data controller
Salkantay Go, based in Cusco, Peru, is responsible for processing the personal data you provide, in accordance with Peru’s Law No. 29733 on Personal Data Protection and its regulations.
Data we collect
- Contact data: name, email, phone/WhatsApp and country.
- Travel data: tour date, document type and number, age, gender, dietary preferences and relevant medical notes.
- Payment data: processed directly by Izipay or PayPal. We do not store card details.
- Browsing data: analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta) when you browse the site.
Purposes
We use your data to manage your booking, obtain tickets, permits and trains, contact you by email or WhatsApp, issue receipts, meet legal obligations and, if you allow it, send you information about our services.
Transfers
We share only the necessary data with the Ministry of Culture, railway companies, hotels and suppliers involved in your trip, and with payment gateways.
Retention
We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet tax and legal obligations.
Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection by writing to our contact email with the subject “Personal data”. If you believe they were not addressed, you may contact Peru’s National Personal Data Protection Authority.
Cookies
We use first- and third-party cookies to measure visits and improve our ads. You can disable them in your browser settings.
